Goddess Within: Workshops, Opening to the Lover Archetype Rhiannon

The Lover Goddess is Rhiannon, the Welsh Goddess who married a mortal. She is also know as the Maiden Goddess of the Spring and the Lover Goddess of the time of Beltane (30th April/1st May). She is also Aphrodite and Venus, Oshun of our Sensuality, Freya of our physical love and Sophia of our divine love. Rhiannon comes riding into our lives galloping upon her totem animal the white mare. She comes in the form of blosoms and flowers, of the first warm rays of the sun and the excitement of a new lover. She is the heady scent of fresh blooms and the fertile promise of a summer filled with love. Rhiannon is beauty and love and it is these qualities that this two day workshop aims to bring out within you. To journey with Rhiannon is to: Know love, for She answers only to LOVE. Be Creative - via the written word, paint and ceremony. Be confident - using music, dance meditation and masks we reconnect to our lover archtypes. Go deep within. Have your voice heard through discussion and sharing of experiences of love. Spending time with your Rhiannon is to really look at what it is about yourself you do not love and to honour that and move on. When you are ready Rhiannon calls you.


SATURDAY We meet at 10am on the Saturday morning and after a warm drink and introductions we begin by opening our sacred circle. Using myth and story telling we uncover our wicked vows. Those things we tell ourselves that are limiting and prevent us from experiencing true love and connection to our inner source of love. We weave our magic of self realisation and letting go as we prepare for our evening ceremony and move deeper into the heart of Rhiannon's mysteries. (4pm- 7:30pm time for dinner and to dress for the evening ceremony - please note dinner is not provided and access to the venue will be limited during this time.) We return at 7:30pm for a very special ceremony of love. SUNDAY On Sunday morning we start early for ceremonial bathing at a sacred healing well (private). Follwed by tea and toasted teacakes then back to the Hall for feedback and lunch. After lunch we come together and prepare our treasue chests and write fabulous vows and promises to ourselves for taking what we have learnt forward in our lives. Finally we say our farewells with a ceremony of thanks with participation for all.


There are no prerequisites for attending this journey. We have many people from all walks of life and religious backgrounds attending. All that we ask for is that you are willing to be taken on this journey and to accept whatever comes your way. PLEASE NOTE AT THIS STAGE THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR WOMEN ONLY.

You will need: Swimming costume or caftan/sarong and large towel for the well bathing on the Sunday (optional). Plus sturdy walking shoes or boots for the walk to the well (approx. half a mile up a steady incline on a good footpath). Something personal to add to the altar representing your presence at the workshop (items will be returned to you). A ceremonial box of about 5x5 inches or bigger. This will be taken home with you at the end of the workshop. Goddess finery - clothing for the Saturday night ritual. This is your chance to dress as the goddess you are in all your loveliness, anything goes! Lunch for both days. Note books and pens.
