Yin is the universally beloved deity of the Buddhist tradition,
she also known as Kuan Yin, Quan'Am (Vietnam), Kannon (Japan),
and Kanin (Bali), She is the embodiment of compassionate loving
kindness. Her name means "She who hears the weeping world".
|
She is the Bodhisattva of Compassion and hears our call wherever
we need help. According to the folk belief of eastern China,
Quan-yin dwells on the island Pu-tuo-shan, which is the boddhisattva's
sacred place.
Kwan Yin vowed to remain in the earthly realms and not enter
the heavenly worlds until all other living things complete their
own enlightenment and are liberated from birth, death, and rebirth
(samsara). Kwan Yin is the enlightened being/Goddess who embodies
an all pervasive, all consuming, unwavering loving compassion
- She accessible to everyone.
According to Edwin Courtenay's book The Ascended Masters Book
of Ritual and Prayer, Kwan Yin holds the pearl-white flame of
compassion which was once manifest upon the Earth in Her temples.
This flame can be invoked in your meditation work to assist
in cultivating your own personal compassionate understanding.
Just call on the flame and visualise the flame invoking compassion
within you.
Quan Yin can also be called upon if performing any healing work
on yourself or others and whenever you are in need of pure loving
kindness a call to Kwan Yin will always be answered.
