Amathyst is seen as the feminine aspect of ArchAngel Zadkiel. However, it is worthy of note that Angels transcend gender and are neither male nor female, they express both aspects of what we human incarnations see as masculine and feminine energies. It is our patriarchal society which often missed this point and opportunity to establish connections and relationships with the feminine aspects of the Angelic realms. It is also worth noting that it is the "job" of some Angelic energies to keep in balance the feminine and masculine energies by holding a "greater" quantity of one or the other.
