Meaningful Ceremonies

Alex Chaloner and Rebecca Morton, Priestesses of the Goddess, are available to act as Celebrants at your Handfasting, Spiritual Wedding or any other event you would like to mark with a meaningful ceremony.

Whenever you have the need to mark an occasion in your life we are here to help. Ceremonies are designed with your input and ideas, we help to make them a reality for you.

We can help with finding venues (inside or outside), ceremony design, the tradition and meaning of a magical ceremony, creating the right environment for your occasion and finally facilitating the ceremony to ensure all runs smoothly.

In the past we have acted as Celebrants at ceremonies such as magical wedding's, handfasting's, baby naming/blessing's, croning and personal dedications to the Goddess.

Are Handfasting Legal?

Handfastings are not legal in England and Wales. Most people have a legal ceremony before their Handfasting ceremony - a civil or church wedding service.

The Handfasting or spiritual wedding ceremony is for YOU and provides an opportunity for you to state your personal vows to one another without the prescribed necessities of church or state.

How does it work?

The first thing to do is to contact us by e-mail or 'phone (01484 689732, ask for Alex). We then discuss your needs and how much involvement you want from us for your ceremony.

We then tailor the ceremony to meet your needs with one or two meetings in person or over the phone, and should it be necessary a rehearsal before the day of the ceremony (this is especially so for Handfastings and spiritual weddings).

How much does it cost?

This depends on your needs and the location of your ceremony. As an example a straight forward Handfasting ceremony local to Yorkshire will cost £180.
